Husband and wife team, Darren & Vickie Howes created Howes Estates in 2011 in their home village of Winkleigh. Through hard work and determination, the business quickly grew a very good reputation as a 'go that extra mile' family run residential property sales & lettings Estate Agent servicing the EX19, EX18 and EX17 postcode areas.>

Having grown the business organically through word of mouth recommendation, the business expanded its area of service in January of 2016 by opening a second office on the town square in Holsworthy. This allowed the company to provide its customer service driven focus to the EX22 and EX21 postcode areas.

2017 saw Howes Estates expanding further with the procurement the well-respected independent residential letting business, Pure Lettings, Okehampton. During this time, the business has been successfully run as a sister company to Howes Estates under the guidance of lettings director Vickie and manager Anne-Marie. The business has continued to grow from strength to strength, at same time, ensuring that landlords are protected and kept up to date with the ever-changing regulations within the lettings industry. The business is proud to say that Pure Lettings have a dedicated lettings team based in Okehampton town!

2017 also saw the company expanding its property sales service by opening Howes Estates, Okehampton, situated within the Pure Lettings office on East Street. This allowed the EX20 postcode to be added to the ever-growing portfolio of sales service areas and excellent customer service experience.

Howes Estates & Pure Lettings continues to grow through customer recommendation as the ethos of the company remains the same as when it was started in 2011. Openness, honesty, integrity and a drive to deliver the best customer service experience remains its core values.
